Brighten Up Your Bottom Line
If every day were a grey rainy day, there probably wouldn't be all that much to look forward to when you hopped out of bed every morning.
By the same token, consumers and prospective clients alike might be inclined to get the blues if every last promotional item in their mailbox was printed in drab grey scale or lifeless black and white.
It's no secret that colours can go a long way in evoking strong emotions. That's why going with full colour postcard printing is a surefire way to keep your customers happy.
By their very nature, postcards are designed to grab your client's attention and make them ignore the rest of their mail for the time being. Printing your postcard in full, vibrant colour on a high quality card stock will go a long way in winning that client over and leaving them with a very solid first impression of your business.
Of course, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with printing your postcards in black and white. On the contrary, black and white can also be very powerful if used properly.
However, studies have proven that people are generally attracted toward colour. Just think about the way your eyes wonder toward the huge colour billboards when you are driving through the city; or the way you will almost always choose the full colour grocery circulars over their black and white counterparts when you dig through the mail every week.
Of course, this doesn't mean that splashing your postcard with the brightest and loudest selections on the colour wheel will automatically guarantee your business success.
On the contrary, it's very important that the colours that make up both your company logo and - by extension - the bulk of your postcards and promotional materials have some sort of bearing on the type of business you are in or the products and the services you offer.
So before you decide to splash your next postcard campaign in fire engine red, canary yellow or fireball orange, perhaps you would be wise to sit down with one of our graphic artists to discuss the exact company image you are trying to communicate to all these potential customers and what colour combinations and card stocks would make that postcard most effective.
Although it is true that colour can bring a little sunshine to anyone's day, you don't want to leave your prospective clients feeling sunburned and longing for a rainy day.
