Varnishing
A finishing process whereby a transparent varnish is applied over the printed sheet to produce a glossy finish.
Vignette halftone
A halftone whose background gradually fades to white.
Vector Graphic
A graphic image drawn in shapes and lines, called paths. Images created in Illustrator and Freehand (graphic design software) are vector graphics. They are usually exported to be bitmap images.
Vector object
A specific object within a drawing that is created as a collection of lines rather than as patterns of individual dots or pixels. Vector objects are generated from mathematical descriptions that determine the position, length, and direction in which lines are drawn.
