How to prepare your files for plastic card printing

Follow these printing guidlines to ensure the best quality printing for your plastic cards.

Standard Plastic Card Size and Features
Our cards are the same size as a standard credit card (final size - 3 3/8" x 2 1/8")
with 1/8" diameter radiused corners and include all of these features for FREE as well
as FREE SHIPPING anywhere in Canada and USA!
• Full color printing on both sides of the plastic cards
• Embossing of names/numbers (individualized cards)
• Sequential or random numbering (embossed or printed)
• Barcoding
• Hot stamping (metallic foil)

Artwork Colors and Resolution
To ensure that your plastic cards print of the highest quality, your artwork resolution
should be at least 500 dpi. This will guarantee a sharp image and crisp text instead
of a blurry, pixelated image. All files should be converted and sent to us in CMYK mode
and not RGB. All our plastic card printing is done in four color process (CMYK) using
the latest printing technology.

Accepted File Formats for Printing
Minimum artwork resolution should be at least 500 dpi. The following are file
formats which are the easiest to work with and which provide the best print results for
your plastic cards:
jpg (500 dpi resolution), tif, eps, psd, ai
Please don't forget to "rasterize" your font layers, or “create outlines” if working in
Adobe Illustrator (.ai) to ensure quality and accurate printing. If you require help with
